PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
- Designs and implements career-building programs and seminars
that support the needs of the membership.
- Coordinates job transitioning and career fair events.
- Sponsors members to external seminars.
AWARDS DINNER
- Oversees the major fund raiser, for scholarships and
educational programs, which is held in April of each year.
- Spotlights individuals and corporations that have improved the
financial well-being of their communities.

FUND RAISING
- Organizes special outings such as theater parties, sporting
and cultural events for members and guests.
- Develops and implements fund raising events to finance
projects and programs.

FINANCE
- Develops and recommends to the board ways and means to acquire
and maintain financial security for the organization.
- Submits semi-annual recommendations to the board regarding
fiscal responsibilities.
MEMBERSHIP
- Reviews and approves all new membership applications.
- Maintains membership records and organization demographics.
- Implements programs to acquire and maintain the human
resources needed to successfully complete the organization's
activities.
BY-LAWS
- Develops and recommends to the board of directors changes in
the By-Laws.
- Reviews proposed By-Laws changes submitted to the Committee by
members in good standing.
NOMINATING (Active for three months prior to the May
elections)
- Identifies qualified candidates interested in running for
election.
- Manages the election process.
External Committees
SCHOLARSHIP AND MENTORING
- Establishes and maintains long-term, mutually beneficial
relationships with colleges and universities.
- Provides educational, technical and advisory assistance to
high school and college students.
- Encourages students to consider careers in the financial
services industry.

COMMUNITY AND POLITICAL AFFAIRS
- Assesses the community's needs and determines what resources
are needed to satisfy them. Emphasis is placed on economic
development, housing, consumer and small business credits, and
education.
- Works jointly with selected community organizations to sponsor
and/or facilitate seminars and workshops that meet the needs of
the community.
- Meets with elected government officials to establish
relationships that will help meet UFSCNY's goals in the
communities.
- Keeps UFSCNY members informed of current legislative proposals
affecting the financial services industry and its communities.
CORPORATE LIAISON
- Develops strategies to increase the number of corporate
members.
- Maintains an ongoing relationship with our current corporate
members.

- Establishes a communications network with other professional
organizations.
- Manages and coordinates fund raisers and events with other
professional organizations.
PUBLIC RELATIONS
- Publishes the quarterly newsletter and manages the
organization's web site.
- Designs, develops and produces media materials that help
project a professional image of the organization.
- Communicates the organization's purpose and achievements to
the membership and the public.
SPECIAL EVENTS
- Develops and manages special events such as golf tournaments,
art exhibitions and special receptions that are designed to
enhance the image of the organization and promote networking
among like-minded professionals.
